The Web as Random Acts of Human Kindness (by Jonathan Zittrain)

The following TED presentation by Jonathan Zittrain, who is a professor of Internet law at Harvard Law School, of which the core concept delivered is that the benign development of the Internet results from the logrolling thoughts from the bottom of people’s heart. In another words, Internet plays not only the role of the platform of communication but also a kind of verb, which people could get involve in.

Also Jonathan Zittrain published a book of which title is The Future of the Internet—And How to Stop It. In the book he talks about the current problem of the Internet that it’s going to close its world and the relevant solution. Recommend to read.

Second Life: An Alien?

I am Neil Peliatropis. I fly everywhere. I always chat up with the strange girls. All of them like me.

Hey boy, are you dreaming?

Absolutely not!

Actually Neil is a character in Second Life. I gave him birth last evening. I was always under the misapprehension that I was fighting in World of Warcraft during Second Life launching. One can act whoever/whatever he/she wants to be/behave.

Last week I just knew we should be honest and meaningful in social media. However, as in the same classification, it is certain that we are supposed to do whatever in our second life. To be real or not to be real, as possible in Live Space or SL, is constructing the one social media. How interesting!
